Medical Facilities

Hua Hin has several hospitals but there are only a few that are really worth mentioning.

Bangkok Hospital

Located approx. 3 km south of city centre on main road, Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin is part of the nation's largest hospital group (Bangkok Hospital Group). It has a full range of medical services including general medicine, womens' care, general surgery, orthopaedics, urology, dental, eye and other clinics. In limited cases where test results or treatment cannot be given in Hua Hin, patients will be referred to Bangkok’s main hospital. Five star facilities and services, but the bill could be high if you do not have insurance to cover. Tel: 032 616 800

San Paolo Hospital

San Paolo is located a short way south of downtown near the Hua Hin Grand Hotel. This hospital is well known locally and does have some English-speaking staff. Tel: 032 520401

Hua Hin Hospital

Hua Hin Hospital located about 5km north of downtown between Soi 12 and Soi 10, on the way to the airport. Built to serve the royal family (the top floor is theirs alone), this place is modern but being state-run, expect a long wait and you might find that English speakers are not be so readily available. However the costs would be more reasonable. So if you know exactly what medicine you want, this may work out much cheaper than getting it at private hospital. The advise is to take Thai speaker to go with you. Tel: 032 520401

Dr Sumet Clinic

Located at 87/5 Petchkasem Road opposite soi 80, Dr Sumet is pediatrician offering vaccinations and full diagnosis. Dr Sumet is a very good pediatric doctor which is why the place is always full Tel: 032-533404

Dental clinics

There are many bilingual dental clinics in Hua Hin with excellent services and skills. Perfect smile opposite Market village seems to be very popular among foreigners here.

Yes, Hua Hin has been quite a backward in terms of medical care compared to Bangkok or Phuket.
